📍 Location (Always) Required

This is the core of automatic trip detection. "Always" access allows the app to detect when you start driving and track your route in the background - even when the screen is off. Without this, you'd have to manually start each trip.

🔋 Battery Optimization Override Required

Android may kill background apps to save battery. This permission ensures MileTracker Pro stays running to catch every trip. The app uses efficient GPS polling to minimize actual battery usage.

📱 Physical Activity Recognition

Detects whether you're walking, in a vehicle, or stationary. This helps the app know when to start tracking (driving) vs. when to stop (walking into a building), reducing false trips and saving battery.

🔊 Bluetooth Access

Used for multi-vehicle detection. The app can recognize when you connect to a specific car's Bluetooth and automatically tag trips to the right vehicle. Completely optional.

🔔 Notification Permission

Shows a small persistent notification while tracking is active. This is required by Android for any app running in the background. It also lets you see your current trip status at a glance.
